About the Speakers:
With more than 5 years’ experience with litigation funding, Dave Kerstein is Chief Risk Officer at Validity Finance in New York. Prior to working with clients on the finance side, Dave spent fifteen years handling complex commercial disputes at Gibson Dunn, litigating on behalf of both plaintiffs, for whom he has recovered substantial sums or injunctive relief, and defendants, for whom he has achieved trial court victories or favorable outcomes.
Oren Warshavsky is co-leader of BakerHostetler's International Asset Tracing and Recovery team, and leads BakerHostetler’s Copyright Content and Platforms team. Oren has achieved more than $9 billion in monetary recoveries for his clients, obtained injunctive relief in numerous cases, and successfully defended clients in defeating claims asserted in federal and state courts for complex commercial matters, patent, trademark, copyright, bankruptcy, asset recovery matters and commercial disputes. Most recently, Oren has been an integral part of the team representing the trustee of the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Securities.
Steve Kovalan is a Senior Analyst at ALM Legal Intelligence. Steve’s research focuses on a variety of topics related to the business of law, including cybersecurity, lateral partner hiring, and law department operations. Prior to joining ALM Intelligence, Steve was a Senior Advanced Research Analyst at Deltek Inc., where he supported federal government contractors in conducting market analysis, competitive intelligence, and business development research. A member of the District of Columbia Bar, Steve earned a J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law.
